Procedure

** Please note that in the chemical formula there are no subscripts, just the number in or after the symbol


To 100 ml water, add to each of the following:


To each solution add about 25 ml of 25% Congo Red.

Label portions of the solutions with names to provide unknowns for identification by comparison with known. By varying the amount of Congo Red added to each sample the "blood" can appear visibly different - from anaemic to 'true-blue'.
